The mix room is calibrated to deliver 5.1 or 7.1, stereo, and Dolby LtRt/ProLogicII™ mix downs using ATSC recommended standards for DVD and broadcast work, or standard practices for film theater work. High definition video projection is seemlessly linked to a large Avid Pro Tools-HD™ audio workstation using Avid NitrisDX Video Satellite™ technology. Perfect AV (audio/video) synchronization is assured with SyncheckII™ alignment tools.
A dedicated, equally sized voice/Foley recording studio is adjacent with visual feedback via 2-way video cameras. A third recording room is easily tied in when needed. Pushbutton/footswitch talkback allows you and your talent to communicate with or without headphones. All rooms are floated. A separate machine room area isolates noisy equipment. Microphones are Neumann U87ai, U89, and TLM193, Sennheiser MKH416, MD421, and MKE2 lavalieres, and AKG414EB.

Loudness target specifications have become a primary consideration of broadcast mixing. We are fully aware and fully experienced with the wide variety of standards and practices with names like LKFS, LUFS, DBFS, leqA, Dialnorm, ITU-R BS.1770, and EBU R128, using modern measurement devices to guarantee we meet your contractual obligations.
Operation at any sample rate between 44.1kHz and 192kHz is possible. Broadcast and film predominantly use 48 kHz.
